In the east of JERSEY : GOREY's anchorage
JERSEY's surname is "the Island of Flowers". It's a very interesting destination. Distant from about 30 nautical miles from Saint-Malo (5/6 hours for a 35 feet), you reach an english coast with its particular atmosphere : language, culture, pubs (be carefull, next days can be difficult...). The change of scenery is sure !
At the East side of the island, you'll find Gorey's anchorage. It is not very sheltered and it is rather recommended by quiet weather only. The drop-keel boats will have an advantage because they can run aground on the sand, so they can spend the night without worry.
You'll have a good moment in Gorey with its large sand-beach, far from the crowded town of St-Helier.
